A traffic accident occurred today on the Mitrovica–Jarinje national road, near the village of Sllatinë, involving a vehicle belonging to the U.S. KFOR contingent, which overturned after losing control.
According to Munish Avdiu, the regional traffic commander in North Mitrovica, three individuals were injured in the incident.
He confirmed that the accident was a single-vehicle crash and that the injured are not in life-threatening condition.
“A U.S. KFOR vehicle traveling on the Mitrovica–Jarinje national road, in the village of Sllatinë, overturned after losing control. It was not struck by another vehicle—it was a self-inflicted accident. Three people sustained bodily injuries but are out of danger,” Avdiu stated.
