The largest supporter group of the Albanian national football team, Tifozat Kuq e Zi (TKZ), has announced they will boycott the highly anticipated Albania–Serbia match on June 7 at the National Arena in Tirana, Rks News reports.

In a strong statement on social media, TKZ said this is only the second time in 21 years they won’t be present for a match against Serbia. The first time was in 2014, when they were banned from attending the match in Belgrade by Serbian authorities. This time, they claim the exclusion is coming from the “friends of the Serbs”, referring to the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF).

The group called the ticket distribution process a “staged farce”, criticizing the so-called lottery system as a pre-arranged scheme meant to benefit travel agencies and promote black market sales, with some tickets allegedly reaching prices of up to €1,000.

TKZ argues that this new system excludes loyal fans, favoring “politicians, elites, and the wealthy” instead. They slammed FSHF for its hypocrisy, stating that football is increasingly becoming an unreachable event for ordinary citizens.
