The peace talks between the United States and Ukraine have begun with delegations from the US and Ukraine in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sky News reports that Kyiv is represented in the talks by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, while Volodymyr Zelensky is not participating.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the highest-ranking US official in the talks.
