Today, the inauguration of the Kosovo–Albania cross-border road will take place, connecting the villages of Gorozhup in Kosovo and Pogaj in Albania.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, this project is the result of agreements between Kosovo and Albania, aimed at strengthening infrastructural ties and promoting regional development.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by senior officials, including the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the acting Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Hysen Durmishi, Albania’s Ambassador to Kosovo Petrit Malaj, and the Mayor of Has, Miftar Dauti.

A few days earlier, Durmishi had shared footage of the construction works on this cross-border road, writing:
“We build bridges that unite us and cross the borders that have unjustly divided us.”
