The meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe will be held today, where Kosovo is not on the agenda so far.
Kosovo will not be on the agenda, as some countries such as Germany and France have requested that Kosovo take concrete steps towards the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
The Foreign Minister, Donika Gërvalla, announced yesterday that she has sent a letter to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, through which she promised that by the end of May, Kosovo will compile a draft statute of the Association.
This led to a clash with the Presidency, where in their reaction it was said that there was no coordination between the heads of state for this letter.
“President Osmani only supports positions and actions previously consulted, coordinated and agreed upon with the Institution of the Presidency as a constitutional institution with clear powers in the field of foreign policy and as the guardian of the constitutional functioning of the institutions”.
“This letter is not like that. It may have been consulted and coordinated with individuals outside the institutions that published this letter today, but not with the Presidency. Any derivative of the letter of commitment signed by the three institutions must also be coordinated and approved by these three institutions in advance”, it was said in the reaction of the Presidency.
