The head of the Government Commission for Missing Persons Unit, Kushtrim Gara, announced today that three war victims will be reburied: Xhavit Maloku from Polluzha, Agim Syla, and Besim Berisha from Shtutica.
In a Facebook post, Gara stated that the bodies of these victims will be reburied in their hometowns, Polluzhë and Shtuticë.
“Following the identification through scientific DNA analysis of the remains (bones) exhumed last year from the cemetery site in Prekaz, the families have decided to reinter today in Drenas, specifically in Polluzhë and Shtuticë: Xhavit Maloku from Polluzha, Agim Syla, and Besim Berisha from Shtutica, war victims who were on the List of Missing Persons,” he wrote among other things.
Gara also announced that the municipality of Drenas will organize a memorial gathering to honor the war victims.
