The French Embassy in Kosovo has stated that the economic partnership between the two countries is intensifying.
According to the embassy’s post, in 2024, trade exchanges between France and Kosovo reached €100 million. Of this amount, €80 million consisted of French exports to Kosovo.
“This dynamic is part of the trajectory of continuous intensification: €67 million is the total of French direct investments (2008–2023), with a noticeable increase since 2020; trade exchanges grew by 33% during the 2020–2024 period,” the announcement said.
The embassy added that France remains fully committed to supporting businesses, encouraging investments, and strengthening partnerships between the two economies.
The strengthening of economic exchanges was also mentioned by French President Emmanuel Macron in a congratulatory letter to Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.
“Relying on our shared values, across fields as diverse as they are essential, such as Olympism, Francophonie, and the promotion of women’s rights, I hope that our cooperation can also develop in key areas for Kosovo’s future, including through the strengthening of our economic exchanges,” Macron wrote in the letter.
