The public transport company “Trafiku Urban” has announced that it will not resume normal operations until all outstanding financial obligations to suppliers are settled—a process that, according to the company, depends on the transfer of funds from central institutions.
In a statement to the media, the company emphasized that it is crucial for the responsible institutions, including the relevant ministry, to accelerate the procedures for transferring the necessary funds in order to restore uninterrupted public transport services.
“Until these financial obligations are fulfilled, and until we are able to resume operations, the announced protest by Trafiku Urban employees will continue,ʺ the company said.
“Trafiku Urban” further noted that once the funds become available, public transport services will be restored immediately, without any additional delays.
The company also assured citizens that all monthly tickets already paid for will be compensated for the days during which they were unable to use the transport services.
