A small aircraft crashed and erupted in flames immediately after takeoff, resulting in the deaths of two passengers.

A shocking video captured the moment when the Cheyenne plane barely lifted off the runway before tilting and crashing. The aircraft ultimately fell onto one of its wings and caught fire. Eyewitnesses reported hearing screams as the plane showed signs of distress.

The flight departed from Paramillo Airport in Táchira and crashed in San Cristóbal National Park. The accident left two passengers dead and two others injured.

The victims have been unofficially identified as Toni Bortone and Juan Maldonado, according to local media outlet El Nacional. Reports suggest the pilot lost control of the aircraft following a tire explosion.

Firefighters, civil defense teams, and police responded to the emergency at 12:00 PM. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
