Tragedy with 59 Dead and 155 Injured in North Macedonia, Arrest Warrants Issued for 4 People

At least 59 people have died late at night in the eastern city of Kocani, North Macedonia, due to a fire outbreak in a nightclub.

The number of injured so far is 155, with some of them being transferred from Kocani to clinics in Štip and Skopje.

Four arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the serious incident.

The fire broke out while the local band DNK was performing. 39 of the victims have been identified so far, according to a statement by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Panče Toshkovski.

Reports suggest that fireworks were set off inside the venue, causing the roof to catch fire.

A video from inside showed the band playing on stage before the flames erupted on both sides and shot toward the ceiling.
