All fans of the Greek football team PAOK have canceled their trips to France following the tragic accident that claimed the lives of seven young supporters. According to Greek media, the atmosphere in Thessaloniki is one of indescribable grief. Club officials hung jerseys with the names of the seven victims, along with another shirt bearing the inscription “Immortal.”

Over 200 fans who had previously traveled the same route before the accident returned to the site to leave jerseys, scarves, and candles in tribute. Football clubs across Greece continue to express their solidarity and condolences.

Recently, a delegation from Aris FC visited Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki to pay respects to the young fans who lost their lives. Despite the tragedy, UEFA refused to postpone PAOK’s match against Lyon, and the team traveled to France as scheduled.

However, the entrance that would normally welcome PAOK fans at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais will remain closed in mourning. In a somber atmosphere, the team trained at the Mesimvria facilities, and with the exception of Ivanushek, all remaining players participated in the session.

Both Greek clubs, Panathinaikos and PAOK, have already qualified for the intermediate phase of the Europa League and are seeking positive results in their upcoming matches.
