A court hearing in the case concerning the November 2024 attack on the Ibër-Lepenc water canal is scheduled to take place at 1:15 p.m. at the Palace of Justice in Prishtina.

The attack occurred in November 2024 in the village of Varagë, in the municipality of Zubin Potok, and caused damage to critical water-supply infrastructure in Kosovo.

According to the case file of Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office, Jovan Vićentijević is suspected of deliberately damaging the canal’s infrastructure with explosives alongside his brother, Dragiša Vićentijević, allegedly with the aim of committing the criminal offense of terrorism.

Igor Dimović is also charged in the case but is not being held in pretrial detention. The two Vićentijević brothers remain in custody.

Approximately 20 kilograms of explosives are suspected to have been used in the blast, which raised serious concerns about the security of Kosovo’s critical infrastructure.

Kosovo authorities have classified the incident as a terrorist attack and have raised allegations of Serbian responsibility. Any responsibility for the attack remains a matter to be examined through the legal proceedings.

In February 2026, the defendants pleaded not guilty before the court. The ongoing proceedings are expected to examine evidence presented by the prosecution alongside the arguments and positions of the defence.

The hearing forms part of the judicial process aimed at establishing the circumstances surrounding the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal.
