Today marks the start of the espionage trial against former OSCE official Jelena Gjukanović.
On September 4, 2025, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) filed an indictment against Gjukanović, accusing her of providing information to the Intelligence and Security Agency of the Republic of Serbia.
“J.GJ. is accused that from an unspecified date until her arrest on 28.02.2025, in her capacity as an official of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, she knowingly and intentionally carried out repeated actions constituting active assistance to the intelligence activity of a foreign service, specifically the Intelligence and Security Agency of the Republic of Serbia,” the prosecution stated.
Gjukanović is charged with obtaining and distributing sensitive documents and information for the benefit of Serbia’s BIA.
