Prishtina, July 28, 2025 — The Basic Court in Pristina has sentenced Milun Millenković (known as Llune) and Aleksandar Vllajić each to 5 years in prison for their roles in the terrorist attack against the offices of the Municipal Election Commission (KKZ) in North Mitrovica, carried out on December 6, 2022.
Dejan Pantić was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment, while Miomir Vakić was acquitted of all charges.
The accused did not attend the sentencing session, having requested to be absent.
According to the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, on December 6, 2022, a terrorist attack targeted the KKZ offices in North Mitrovica. A vehicle resembling an ambulance was used to transport hand grenades.
The indictment states that the grenades were obtained by accused Milun Millenković, who denied the charges during his final statement.
Aleksandar Vllajić, Dejan Pantić, and Miomir Vakić were charged with throwing hand grenades and stun grenades with the aim of forcing Kosovo’s public authorities to withdraw from organizing elections in the predominantly Serb-inhabited northern municipalities.
During their closing statements, the defendants and their lawyers accused the Prosecutor’s Office of presenting an indictment not sufficiently supported by evidence.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office, represented by prosecutor Fikrije Fejzullahu, requested their conviction. In her closing arguments, Fejzullahu emphasized that material evidence and testimonies presented during the trial confirmed the guilt of the accused, highlighting the importance of a proper sentence to deter similar attacks in the future.
