The Trump administration has accused Harvard University of violating the civil rights of its Jewish students and has threatened to cut federal funding. This action follows an investigation by a federal task force into campus protests related to the conflict in Gaza.

The task force alleged that Harvard was “deliberately indifferent” or even “willfully complicit” in antisemitic harassment against Jewish individuals during anti-war protests.

Harvard has strongly refuted the findings, stating that it has taken “substantial and proactive steps” to combat antisemitism.

This dispute escalates an ongoing battle, with the Trump administration also attempting to remove Harvard from a student immigration registry and instructing U.S. embassies to deny visas to prospective international students.
