Following a series of high-level meetings in Washington, D.C., the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, announced that the Administration of former President Donald Trump has approved the continuation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact for Kosovo.
The news was confirmed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, during official communications with President Osmani, who described this development as “excellent news for Kosovo.”
“This is transformative support for our country’s energy sector and economic development. Deep gratitude to the United States of America,” Osmani said in her public statement.
The MCC Compact is expected to bring strategic investments in energy infrastructure, helping Kosovo strengthen its energy security, increase clean energy capacity, and improve energy efficiency.
This decision once again highlights the strong partnership between Kosovo and the United States, coming at a crucial moment to accelerate economic growth and strengthen the country’s institutions.
