The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has begun preparations for radical changes in American foreign and judicial policy, including the possible cancellation of funding for international courts and projects that have shaped political and legal processes in the Balkans for decades, Newsmax Balkans has learned, as reported by Rks News.

According to information obtained by Newsmax Balkans from reliable sources close to the Trump administration, preparations have already begun in Washington for one of the sharpest shifts in U.S. foreign and judicial policy a full or drastic reduction in funding for international judicial institutions.

The sources emphasize that over the past decades, the United States has invested “more than 100 billion dollars” in international courts, special chambers, and various judicial funds worldwide.

The new U.S. administration reportedly believes that this model is “outdated,” politically compromised, and financially unsustainable particularly because, according to their assessment, many of these institutions were used to advance the foreign policy agendas of previous administrations.

According to senior officials, there is a clear stance at the highest level of the new administration: America comes first, and it “should not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries,” especially when such involvement comes at the expense of American taxpayers.
