Former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed plans to visit the Gaza Strip, devastated by months of war, according to international media reports.

Trump did not specify when or under what conditions the visit would take place but emphasized that “no one would have a problem if we entered and criticized [Hamas]” should the group attempt to withdraw from the existing ceasefire framework.

He also predicted that Saudi Arabia would join the Abraham Accords by establishing diplomatic relations with Israel before the end of this year.

“They had a problem,” Trump said about Riyadh. “They had a problem with Gaza, and they had a problem with Iran. Now, they no longer have those two problems.”

Trump further warned that his administration would not support any Israeli attempt to annex the West Bank, noting that such a move would endanger Israel’s relationship with Washington.

“That’s not going to happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries,” he said. “If that happened, Israel would lose all U.S. support.”

Finally, Trump revealed that he personally maintains a good relationship with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, saying he “likes him” despite Abbas being regarded as a long-time adversary of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
