Donald Trump has arrived in Anchorage, Alaska, aboard Air Force One for a pivotal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The U.S. delegation includes some of the president’s closest allies, such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House special envoy Steve Witkoff, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe. The group’s stated goal is to mediate peace in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The meeting is set to take place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base and marks the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since Trump began his second term. The talks are scheduled to begin at approximately 11:30 AM local time.
