Former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that Patriot missile systems promised to Ukraine have now been delivered by Germany, signaling continued Western military support for Kyiv amid escalating hostilities with Russia.

Speaking at a press event, Trump reiterated his administration’s commitment to arming Ukraine but also revealed that he has not been in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin since warning of secondary sanctions against Moscow—unless a peace agreement is reached within 50 days.

“The Patriot missiles have arrived in Ukraine, thanks to our coordination with Germany. This shows the West stands united behind Ukraine,” Trump stated.

On the ground, the situation remains volatile. Overnight, multiple explosions and casualties were reported in several Ukrainian cities. Ukraine’s military authorities sounded air raid alarms across Kyiv and surrounding regions, citing an incoming wave of Russian drones. The Ukrainian Air Force also flagged threats from ballistic missile attacks.

In Kharkiv, at least 17 explosions were recorded, injuring three people, according to local officials. Drone attacks were also reported in Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region), while Russian news agency TASS claimed air raid alerts had been triggered in Ukraine’s Vinnytsia and Rivne regions.

Just a day earlier, Trump had called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to refrain from launching attacks on Moscow, while emphasizing that the United States would continue supplying weapons to Kyiv. However, he simultaneously escalated rhetoric against the Kremlin, warning of “serious consequences” if the war is not resolved swiftly.
