U.S. President Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of deploying American troops to Ukraine to help uphold a potential peace agreement.
“We will inform you, perhaps later today,” Trump stated.
He emphasized that Europe would lead the efforts to secure peace, but the U.S. would also be involved.
“They are the first line of defense because they are there, Europe. But we will help. We will also be involved,” he said.
Trump added that if a peace agreement is reached, it would be sustainable.
“I believe that if we achieve peace, it will work. I have no doubt about that,” he concluded.
