Donald Trump, the Republican candidate and former president, has been declared the 47th president of the United States.
He reached the required 270 Electoral College votes needed to take the helm of the United States.
Trump competed against Democrat Kamala Harris, the current vice president, in the November 5 elections.
Trump addressed his supporters earlier in the day from Florida, pledging to “heal” the United States.
His victory was confirmed after he triumphed in four swing states: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia.
