U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Axios journalist Barak Ravid. Details of the discussion have not yet been disclosed.
The call comes as part of ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Earlier, President Zelensky announced that on Thursday, Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian negotiating team, will meet with U.S. representatives to discuss three key issues concerning Ukraine.
These preparatory discussions are expected to pave the way for a trilateral meeting, which will include Russian officials and is anticipated to take place in early March.
