On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he had given instructions to his advisors to erase Iran if the country were to kill him.
“If they do it, they will be erased,” Trump said in response to reporters while signing an executive order and calling for maximum pressure on Tehran.
“I have left instructions that if they do this, they will be wiped out, nothing will remain.”
The Department of Justice had reported in November that an Iranian plot to kill Trump before the presidential elections had been thwarted, according to AP.
The Department had stated that Iranian officials had instructed Farhad Shakerin in September to surveil and then assassinate Trump.
