U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that America will not defend NATO allies who do not spend enough on defense.
“I think it’s logical,” said Trump, according to A2.
“If they don’t pay, I won’t defend them,” added the U.S. President.
Trump further emphasized that NATO member countries are not contributing enough to defense and urged them to spend more.
Trump also mentioned that his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, wants to make a deal, and added that Russia wants the same: “I also think Russia wants to make a deal because, in one way or another, they have no other option.”
