The U.S. government announced the launch of an exclusive new immigration program called the “Trump Gold Card”, offering a direct path to citizenship for all qualified and vetted individuals.
“A direct path to citizenship for all qualified and vetted individuals. Very exciting! Our great American companies can finally retain their invaluable talent. The website will launch in 30 minutes! trumpcard.gov,” announced U.S. President Donald Trump on Truth Social.
Program Details
With a processing fee and, following verification by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a $1 million payment, applicants gain the right to reside in the United States in record time through the Trump Gold Card program.
In addition to the Trump Gold Card, the U.S. administration introduced an even more exclusive program—the Trump Platinum Card for wealthy foreigners wishing to reside in the U.S. without paying taxes on foreign income. This program comes with a higher financial threshold and provides what authorities describe as the “highest level of access.”
Application Process
The Trump Gold Card visa is aimed at individuals deemed to provide “substantial benefit” to the United States. The application requires a non-refundable $15,000 fee processed by DHS.
Once the fee is paid, the petition approval and visa decision occur through an expedited procedure, provided applicants submit all additional required documentation and fees on time.
A $1 million donation after completing a security authorization is considered proof that the applicant will offer “substantial benefit” to the U.S. Additional smaller fees may apply depending on the applicant’s personal circumstances, as determined by the U.S. State Department.
Trump Corporate Gold Card
Additionally, the Trump Corporate Gold Card is issued to a corporate sponsor for one or more employees. Sponsors must pay a non-refundable $15,000 DHS fee per employee.
Companies can submit applications for multiple individuals at the same time. A $2 million donation per employee, after security authorization, serves as proof that the employee will provide “substantial benefit” to the United States.
Sponsors may stop sponsoring one employee and use the already-paid donation as a basis to sponsor another individual without making a new $2 million payment.
The Trump Corporate Gold Card is also subject to a 1% annual maintenance fee and a 5% transfer fee, which covers the cost of a new DHS security check. Additional minor fees may apply depending on the employee’s circumstances.
This follows Trump’s February announcement introducing “gold cards,” a program aimed at wealthy foreigners wishing to invest in the U.S. and create new jobs.
