U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel has agreed to an initial withdrawal line from Gaza, following negotiations mediated by Washington.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the ceasefire will take effect immediately once Hamas confirms the agreement.

“After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown and shared with Hamas,” Trump wrote.

He added that once Hamas provides confirmation, a ceasefire will begin instantly, triggering the exchange of hostages and prisoners, and setting the stage for the next phase of withdrawal.

Trump framed the development as a pivotal step, saying:

“This will bring us closer to the end of this 3,000-year CATASTROPHE.”

The U.S. president also imposed a deadline, warning Hamas that they must respond by 6:00 p.m. Washington time today. Should they refuse, he cautioned that “all hell will break loose” over Gaza.

This announcement comes amid heightened international pressure for a ceasefire, with protests across Europe and growing diplomatic tensions over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
