President Donald Trump has mentioned Richard Grenell as a possible candidate for the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

This development follows the withdrawal of Representative Elise Stefanik’s candidacy for the post due to political concerns.

Grenell has held several significant positions, including U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Acting Director of National Intelligence.

In December 2024, Trump appointed Grenell as the Special Envoy for Special Missions, tasked with addressing some of the most challenging foreign policy issues.

Currently, Trump is considering several candidates for key positions in his administration, including Grenell for U.S. Ambassador to the UN.
