U.S. President Donald Trump has said that his timeline for dealing with the Iran conflict remains unchanged, according to a report by BBC.
Trump stated that there is currently “no fighting,” but described the situation as a blockade, claiming that Iran is not conducting business at the moment.
“At this point, there is no fighting. Right now we have a blockade, they are not doing business,” he said, referring to developments involving Iranian maritime activity.
He also criticized commercial shipping activity linked to Iran, referring to movements in the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire period. Trump added that Iran is currently not trading in the strait and said the situation “will remain that way, very easily.”
The comments come amid rising tensions in the region and ongoing disputes over maritime security and sanctions enforcement.
