U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has nominated billionaire Linda McMahon, a prominent figure in the world of professional wrestling, as the Secretary of the Department of Education. McMahon, best known for her involvement in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), is expected to oversee the agency, which Trump has previously vowed to dismantle.
In addition, Trump has selected Dr. Mehmet Oz, a former television host and heart surgeon, to lead the agency responsible for overseeing health insurance programs for millions of elderly and special needs individuals.
McMahon served in Trump’s administration from 2017 to 2019, but her background does not include experience in the education field, despite her support for certain educational reforms.
