U.S. President Donald Trump has shared a message on Truth Social from NATO chief Mark Rutte, congratulating the president for taking “decisive action” in Iran.
“Mr. President, dear Donald, congratulations and thank you for your decisive action in Iran – it was truly remarkable and something no one else dared to do. You made us all safer,” Rutte’s message read.
The specific action by the American president that Rutte is referring to is not clearly specified. Over the weekend, Trump ordered an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, and in the past 24 hours, he has pressured both Israel and Iran to reach a ceasefire.
The message continues to commend Trump for pressuring other NATO member countries to increase their defense spending.
