U.S. President Donald Trump has reacted to the devastating floods that struck Texas, pledging full cooperation between the federal government and state and local officials, RKS News reports.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will soon arrive in the disaster zone to coordinate emergency aid and relief efforts.
“Melania and I are praying for all the families affected by this terrible tragedy. Our brave rapid-response teams are on the ground doing what they do best. God bless the families, and God bless Texas,” Trump wrote.
Meanwhile, local authorities continue search and rescue operations to locate the missing, aid survivors, and assess the widespread damage caused by torrential rains and severe flooding.
