U.S. President Donald Trump recently stated that the United States is receiving “millions and millions of barrels of oil,” noting that oil imports have reached 50 million barrels, with a market value exceeding $5 billion in a single day.
“The largest ships in the world can carry about one million barrels,” the U.S. leader said.
“But we have 50 million barrels. Just think about that amount,” he added.
According to experts, these figures highlight the extraordinary scale of U.S. trade operations and their impact on global oil supply.
The announcement comes amid ongoing scrutiny of energy prices and market stability by investors and governments worldwide.
Separately, Trump also indicated that there will be $100 billion in investments in Venezuela’s energy sector following the capture of the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro.
