U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that American airstrikes have “wiped out” Iran’s nuclear program, in one of his boldest statements yet on the matter.

In an interview with Fox News this afternoon, Trump said that the recent bombings of three key nuclear facilities in Iran marked the end of Tehran’s nuclear ambitions — at least temporarily.

“It’s been wiped out like never seen before,” said Trump, speaking to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.
“The bomb went through it like it was butter — absolute butter — the whole place was just destroyed,” he added dramatically.

When asked whether Iran might have relocated highly enriched uranium from the Fordow facility before the strikes, Trump dismissed the possibility.

“It’s very hard to do, very dangerous. It’s heavy — very, very heavy. It’s a very difficult thing to do,” he said.

He also claimed the element of surprise worked in their favor:

“We didn’t give them much notice. They didn’t know we were coming — not until it was too late.”

Trump’s comments come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and growing scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear program, especially after recent assessments by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warning that Iran could restart uranium enrichment within months.
