The United States has temporarily suspended Ukraine’s access to certain satellite imagery, according to U.S.-based space technology company Maxar, as reported by BBC Verify.

This decision follows the suspension of intelligence-sharing between the U.S. and Ukraine after a reported dispute between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting in the Oval Office.

Maxar, which provides satellite imagery for governments and companies, confirmed that Ukraine’s accounts on the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (GEGD) program have been temporarily restricted. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), part of the U.S. Department of Defense, also stated that the move aligns with the administration’s directives regarding support for Ukraine.

Satellite images play a crucial role in warfare, enabling militaries to track enemy movements and gather intelligence. The decision to restrict Ukraine’s access comes at a time when Kyiv continues to rely on Western support for its defense against Russian aggression.
