US President Donald Trump has urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from provocative measures in the West Bank and to reconsider Israel’s current policy in the area, during a meeting held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
According to international media reports, Trump and his aides expressed serious concern over settler violence against Palestinian civilians, the financial instability of the Palestinian Authority, and the continued expansion of Israeli settlements.
The US administration warned that any further escalation in the West Bank could undermine efforts to implement the Gaza peace agreement and harm Israel’s relations with European countries.
Washington emphasized that maintaining stability in the West Bank is crucial for regional security and diplomatic progress in the Middle East.
