U.S. President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, stating in a Fox Radio interview that he does not consider Zelensky “important enough to be part of the meetings.”
Trump has faced criticism for excluding European leaders and Ukraine from discussions with Moscow earlier this week, according to Sky News.
While Western leaders have warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no real interest in peace, Trump expressed a different view during the interview.
“He doesn’t have to make a deal,” Trump said, adding, “Because if he wanted, he would take over the entire country.”
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions regarding U.S. support for Ukraine and Trump’s controversial stance on the war.
