Donald Trump delivered his address at the diplomatic summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, where he spoke about the end of the Gaza conflict and the role of the United States in the peace process.
The American president declared that the end of the war in Gaza marks “a beautiful beginning for the Middle East,” suggesting that the era of excuses for violence and tension is now over.
Trump did not hesitate to criticize the Biden administration, while also highlighting the joy among Israeli citizens over the release of hostages and the cessation of fighting.
“The end of the war in Gaza will be a beautiful beginning for the Middle East. The final sprint of this race began three weeks ago, right here. I know all of you here. Some of you don’t like me at all — I won’t say who — but many of you I like very much, and that’s what matters. We came together in this beautiful mix. It was a beautiful day. Everyone here — the Israelis are very happy. They’ve been dancing in the streets for days because of the release of hostages. We’ll be good partners, and I hope everyone joins us.
You had the Biden administration — the worst in our country’s history — and they did nothing. The U.S. has worked very hard in the Middle East. Everyone has worked so hard. You will do well. I hope everyone joins us. There are no more excuses for Gaza. There are no more excuses for Iran. It was a good excuse, but we don’t have it anymore,” Trump said.
