According to the Presidential Communications Directorate of Turkey, Erdoğan stressed that Turkey does not support foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs and endorses solutions that originate from Iranian citizens and institutions.

During the discussion, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations, including economic cooperation, trade, investments, and energy issues, as well as ways to enhance coordination in regional security and politics. Erdoğan told Pezeshkian that he is closely monitoring recent incidents in Iran, emphasizing that maintaining peace and stability in the neighboring country is a strategic priority for Turkey.

Both leaders highlighted the importance of addressing existing challenges and preventing escalations in the Middle East, reaffirming their commitment to political, economic, and diplomatic cooperation. The phone call comes as Iran faces internal political, social, and economic challenges, making regional stability crucial for Turkey’s security and economic progress. Ankara has consistently maintained that any solution to Iran’s problems must come from within Iran, emphasizing respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Erdoğan also communicated that Turkey is ready to work constructively with Tehran to address regional challenges and ensure long-term stability, signaling to the international community that Turkey continues to pursue a balanced approach in the region, promoting dialogue, sovereignty, and regional cooperation as tools for crisis resolution.
