Turkey has strongly reacted to Israeli airstrikes on military and nuclear targets in Iran, calling them a “flagrant violation of international law” and a “deliberate provocation aimed at regional destabilization,” reports RKS News.
In an official statement, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Israel to immediately halt its aggressive actions, which, according to Ankara, risk sparking a new conflict in the Middle East. “The fact that these strikes are taking place at a time when negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program are intensifying shows that Netanyahu’s government has no intention for a diplomatic resolution,” the statement reads.
Turkey warned that Israel’s actions are endangering regional stability and global peace and urged other countries to intervene to stop the further escalation of the conflict.
In May, Istanbul hosted negotiations on the nuclear issue between Iran and European powers, positioning itself as a potential mediator in diplomatic dialogue.
