Turkey has heightened its border and airspace security in response to rising tensions in the Middle East, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler announced, according to Rks News.
In a video conference with military commanders, Güler strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran, warning of the risk of widespread conflict and regional destabilization. He emphasized that Turkey is acting proactively, implementing comprehensive measures to safeguard national security against any emerging threats.
The minister urged the international community to take immediate action to stop Israel’s unilateral operations, which, he warned, are dragging the entire region into chaos.
Güler also unveiled Turkey’s long-term defense strategy, including the development of the “Iron Dome” system (Kupola e Çeliktë) — an integrated air defense network designed to work in tandem with the indigenous “Kaan” fighter jet and other missile systems.
He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to playing an active and stabilizing role in regional security.
