Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has informed Iran’s Foreign Minister that resuming nuclear talks with the United States is the only way to resolve the conflict with Israel and the broader dispute over Iran’s nuclear program, according to Reuters.

During his meeting with Abbas Araqchi in Istanbul today, Erdoğan stated that Turkey is prepared to mediate to help restart negotiations between Iran and the U.S., BBC reported.

The Turkish president also characterized Israel’s decision to attack Iran just prior to the potential resumption of talks with the United States as an act of sabotage.
