Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned that Israel’s military strikes against Iran are pushing the region toward “total destruction”, urging global powers to act swiftly to prevent the conflict from escalating into a wider war.
In his speech at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ Conference in Istanbul, Fidan called for support for Iran, stressing that the region faces a “problem with Israel” due to its actions in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and now Iran.
Fidan’s remarks come amid more than a week of fighting between Israel and various forces in the region, with casualties reported on both sides.
