Turkish Fugitive Sentenced to 4 Years Imprisonment in Turkey Arrested at Kosovo-Albania Border

Border Police services at Morina, in their ongoing efforts to combat cross-border crime and prevent the movement of wanted individuals, have apprehended a Turkish national attempting to enter Albania.

As a result of cooperation between the Border Police and Kukës DVP services, Kadir Kuçukologu, 35, a resident of Turkey, was arrested at the Albanian border entry point for the purpose of extradition to Turkey.

Investigations revealed that Kuçukologu was subject to an international arrest warrant. He had been sentenced to 4 years in prison by the High Court for Crimes in Karsiyaka, Turkey, for the criminal offense of “Theft by deception using electronic data processing systems, a bank, or a lending institution.”
