Turkish KFOR soldiers, assigned to the Regional Command-East, continue to carry out routine patrols throughout Kosovo, including along the border with Serbia.
“These efforts are part of KFOR’s daily mission to ensure a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo,” KFOR said in a statement.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times and impartially.
KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective security response roles.
