Turkish soldiers, assigned to the Regional Command East of the KFOR mission, conducted a routine patrol in the northern part of Kosovo to ensure stability and freedom of movement in the area.
An official statement revealed that these efforts are part of KFOR’s daily mission to guarantee a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo.
“KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a secure and safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, ensuring freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner.
KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” the KFOR statement reads.
