Members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) have received sniper shooting training from Turkish soldiers within the framework of KFOR, as reported by Daily Sabah.

The training is aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of the KSF.

According to a statement from the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), the training was conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) to improve the KSF’s readiness for crisis management operations, civil defense, and emergency response.

Since 1999, Turkish troops have supported KFOR missions and contributed to the development of the KSF, with many Turkish-made weapons currently in the KSF’s inventory.

In December 2024, the Kosovo government signed an agreement with the Turkish defense company MKE to establish a factory for the production of various calibers of ammunition, which is expected to begin operations soon.
