Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Friday that the drone attacks on Poland’s airspace this week were not accidental, countering U.S. President Donald Trump’s suggestion that they might have been a mistake.
“We also would like the drone attack on Poland to have been a mistake. But it wasn’t. And we know that,” Tusk wrote in a post on X.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning, when Poland shot down drones in its airspace with the support of NATO ally fighter jets — marking the first time a NATO member has engaged during the war in Ukraine.
