The initial hearing has started in the criminal case against the defendants Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi.
They are accused of espionage for the Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA).
The hearing is taking place at the Palace of Justice, as reported by Rks News.
It is worth noting that in February 2025, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo filed an indictment against Shabani and Qerimi for the criminal offense of “Espionage.”
They are suspected of providing information to the Serbian Secret Service (BIA) regarding the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), massacres in Kosovo, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, the Kosovo Police, and the Kosovo Police Inspectorate.
The suspects face charges of “Espionage,” while Muharrem Qerimi is also charged with “Illegal Possession of Weapons.”
