A 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman from Kosovo were apprehended at the Port of Durrës with undeclared money.
According to the police, the individuals, identified as E.H. and F.M., were found carrying a total of 22,820 Swiss francs and 555 euros on their person. They were attempting to bring these funds into Albania without declaring them at the border crossing point.
The money was seized by the State Police as material evidence.
Legal Proceedings Initiated
“The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction Durrës for further action, regarding the criminal offense ‘Failure to declare money and valuable items at the border’,” the police statement further noted.
